I don’t advocate buying, selling, or trading animals on craigslist. I’m just giving examples of the lots of sad and extreme examples of real ads that are out there. lots of of the ads are backyard breeders continually seeking to trade their dogs and puppies for a lot more dogs to breed.

There’s also an unfortunate trend of people using craigslist to get low-cost bait dogs. It’s never a good idea to sell or get a pet dog from craigslist. You know nothing of their history or where they’re going to end up.

If you’re also against the selling or trading of live animals on craigslist like  take a minute of your time to sign this petition aimed at encouraging craigslist to stop selling live animals on their site.  Here’s some sad examples of craigslist dogs for trade:

Danes for guns

Purebred for purebred only.

Such a responsible breeder! He’s getting a new bloodline.

Bully for Acura

Will trade puppy for power ranger toys.

Cant take care of Shih Tzu, no time. will trade for Bully.

Sad to rehome her. will trade for Aussie or Husky though.
