We have a terrific giveaway for the stylish cat today! RC Pet products has generously offered to give away one kitty package to one lucky conscious cat reader. The package consists of a breakaway collar, harness and leash. And the best part is that you can choose from 12 different designs, so you’ll be sure to find something that will suit your cat purrfectly.

That’s Carlos in the photo above, modeling the “Under the Sea” design – doesn’t he look handsome?

Allegra and Ruby don’t wear collars and they don’t walk on a leash, either, but if they did, they told me they would both choose the “Cat sounds Pink” design above. Clearly, my taste in colors has influenced theirs. To view the different design choices, click here.

It looks like the developers have fully researched their products from all of the “cat perspective” angles. The products would all be an answer to any cat owner’s concerns for their animal’s safety and well-being. It would be so very reassuring to have any of their products, and winning any of them would be fabulous! Our rescue girl would love the opportunity to be safely outside with us!

I see I left out which harness our adorable 15 year old kitty Wilde Oscar would enjoy. I think the Moto control one would best suit him and would match his stunning black fur! (And he will tweet about it at @wildeoscarcat if he is the lucky winner.)

Our Wilde Oscar is 15 years old now and he is an indoor only cat who wanted to be indoor / outdoor. This collar, harness and leash would help as we could take him to the cemetery for safe walks away from the kitties that now check out our neighborhood. since he is 15 I hope to add more joy to his life in more and more ways and this would cheer him!

It would be terrific for my cat to be able to go outside and enjoy the fresh air. I think my little black kitty would look quite fetching in the red pirate harness.

We are the Shawnee Om Shanti cat Sanctuary (or SOS Cats for short). This sanctuary slowly grew from feeding the local feral cats when we used to live in a remote area of South-central PA. It later became a tribute to my daughter and only child, Shawnee, who died unexpectedly almost 10 years ago. We are a private sanctuary so all is paid for out-of-pocket.

While living in our little house in the big woods, we managed to trap, neuter and vaccinate over 70 cats. However, last summer, the home owner decided he wanted to develop the home we lived on and no longer wanted cats there, even though we offered to buy the property. With much difficulty, we pulled money from our retirement funds and took out a mortgage to buy a home where the zoning allowed us to keep the cats. We then had a “Cat House” built along with a fenced-in play yard as there are now neighbors and a busy road nearby. You can see the progress of the sanctuary in a FB album located at:
And we are not done yet! We are putting in electric and insulating the cat house this fall!

At the time of moving we had over 40 cats and we managed to trap all but seven of them. We kept going back to the old place each day trying to catch those last seven. You can only image my horror when I went back a week after moving and discovered that the home owner had poisoned the remaining cats! One cat wasn’t even ours but a neighbor’s barn cat who recently had kittens. My spouse went back the next day and thank Bast, he found them still alive and they are all growing and healthy – full of thenullnull
